During the construction process, when the displacement plug passes through the valve system joint of the packer, the disconnect rod sealed on the liquid inlet hole is hit and broken. When the displacement plug runs to the baffle, a seal is formed in the casing (a pipe string process structure such as a ball or blind plate can also be used to form a seal in the casing. When this pipe string process structure is used, no plug passes through, and the disconnect rod must be removed in advance) and pressure is started. The liquid enters the locking valve through the liquid inlet hole of the valve system. When the pressure reaches the set value, the pin on the locking valve is sheared off, the locking valve opens, and the liquid flows through the check valve (radial valve system) and the pressure limiting valve into the expansion chamber between the center pipe and the rubber cylinder, so that the packer expands and contacts closely with the well wall to form a seal. When the pressure in the expansion chamber reaches the set value of the pressure limiting valve pin, the pin is sheared off, the pressure limiting valve is actuated, and the liquid inlet hole is sealed.
At this time, the pressure in the casing has no effect on the pressure in the expansion chamber, and a safe seat seal is achieved. The wellhead pressure is released to zero, and the locking valve is automatically locked to achieve permanent closure (see Figure 3). Subsequent downhole pressure operations have no effect on the packer. In some special pipe string process wells, the inner pipe tool can also be used to seal the packer to achieve the purpose of special completion (such as direct completion with the packer and isolation of the packer between the screens).
