Non magnetic drill collar is made of a low-carbon high chromium manganese alloy steel, which is refined through strict chemical composition ratio and forged to achieve its mechanical properties. It has good low magnetic permeability, high strength mechanical properties, excellent intergranular corrosion cracking resistance, and excellent wear resistance. When the magnetic field strength is 1 × 105/4 π A/m, the relative magnetic permeability μ r of the non-magnetic drill collar is ≤ 1.010; The magnetic induction gradient of non-magnetic drill collar along the inner hole at any distance of 100mm is ≤ 0.05 μ T; The density is 4.5x103kg/m3, which is 98% lower than the density of beryllium copper; The elastic modulus of beryllium copper is 1.35x105Mpa, while the elastic modulus of this alloy is 1.17x105Mpa; Corrosion fatigue resistance is superior to beryllium copper; The yield strength of this alloy is above 827Mpa, and its strength to mass ratio is 1.8 times that of beryllium copper; The fracture elongation is 2-5 times that of beryllium copper and can fully reach the level of 120ksi steel grade.
