This tool is a micro eccentric expander that can be connected to the drill string to achieve micro expansion while drilling. The tool has two sets of spiral expansion blades, the lower blade group is responsible for expanding the hole while drilling or making positive cuts during the drilling process, and the upper blade group is responsible for making reverse cuts during the drilling process. The main function of the tool is to reduce the severity of doglegs in directional wells, remove micro doglegs and small steps underground, and expand the wellbore with a diameter slightly larger than the theoretical diameter of the drill bit in expansive shale formations, salt paste layers, soft mud salt layers, coal seams and other sections with creep. This can reduce the time required for drilling operations during conventional drilling processes and ensure safe and smooth operations such as tripping, electrical logging, casing installation, and expansion packer installation. In addition, the tool also has the function of clearly directing the salt debris bed in the well and effectively controlling the ECD of horizontal wells and high displacement wells.
