The hydraulic release joint is an important component of the operation pipe column. It can be released by placing a certain specification of steel ball in the pipe column to make the pipe column tool string in the predetermined position, detach from the lower tool, and achieve safe release of the pipe column without moving it. The cross embedded design of the upper and lower joints can transmit torque.
The hydraulic release joint is mainly composed of two parts: the upper and lower parts. The upper part is mainly the ball seat part of the release joint, which is connected to the pipe column; The lower part is the release joint with a clamp anchoring part, which is connected to tools such as flushing valves and motors. Throwing from the continuous oil pipe, the steel ball finally stops on the ball seat of the hydraulic throwing hand to form a sealed piston surface. Through ground pressure, the piston descends to cut the shear pin in the hydraulic throwing hand, and the slip sleeve descends. Due to the special design of the slip, the joint on the throwing hand can be detached from the slip. The release pressure can be adjusted by adjusting the number of staples. After releasing the joint, the ball seat and steel ball are retrieved, leaving a standard "GS" - shaped inner salvage neck for the next salvage operation.
